How does this thing save me time and money?
Everybody loves making transparencies! 
Why not? You get to go to the office, stand in front of the copy machine, change the paper, cross your fingers, line up your original, press the button and wait. La la la la la. You don't wait long, but it sure does seem long, longer than it is. Then, success! You have your transparency in your hand. Hooray! Replace the paper, off to class.

Not bad? OH! You have more than one transparency to make. Back to the office!

Now, with the ELMO thing, there's no need to make a transparency! Just place your book or sheet on your desk. Turn on ELMO, your projector or TV, and there it is, on the screen. 
Big readable text for the whole class to see!

Save money? A transparency costs about a quarter a copy. Chump change indeed.
BUT, time, now that's a different story. 
How long is the walk to the office? 
Say "Hi" to everybody. 
Make your copy or two or three or......
Take the hike back to class. I figure 15 minutes at least.
